Bank of America and Down Time.

Argh. I hate/love Bank of America. I’m sure you noticed the down time yesterday from around 2:00pm til today at about 3:00pm.

Bank of America changed my credi tcard information and number to a new one without notifying me. My web host was set to auto-pay the bill on the 10th with my original credit card which, two days ago was apparently wrong because Bank of America went rogue on me.

They claimed they sent me a notification letter which I got today, but was mailed on the 5th of February. There wasn’t a new credit card in that notification, they were just letting me know that my shit was weak and that I should probably get better shit. Fargin’ sneaky bastages.

I called them and had them overnight me a new credit card which should be here today. Praisealujah.

Anyways I wrote my host cari.net and they were cool enough to put it back up while I get this malarky sorted out with Bank of Retards. Thank you cari.net, always good to have a host you can count on to understand situations.

It really pissed me off though because I had just launched Dr. Myspace and finished writing the Developer API page that went along with it. Who knows how much traffic I would have received had my server not gone down the day after I posted all of that stuff. Anyways, we’ll see what happens but for now we should back up for good. Sorry about that, it wasn’t my fault.

Daddy’s back.

Lucky for you I stayed up late tonight.

I went off on a learning curve and fell over the edge of that exact curve this past few months. I’ve been studying for the Zend PHP5 and Zend Framework Certifications. I’ve been reading SEOmoz front to back brushing up on my SEO chops. I bought the APress Book Beginning iPhone Development and plan to release a few iPhone applications I’ve been working on with complete source code. I’m in the process of reading two extremely insightful books: The Pragmatic Programmer and Getting Real. I highly recommend these books for any web developer. If you’re not a programmer but you’re in the industry I suggest Getting Real as a very good start for understanding the processes that create a successful synergy between design, development, deadlines, and the mash in between. I think of these books as books that help me sort the Wheat from the Chaff so to speak.

You can obviously tell that the blog got a redesign and I’m rethinking my approach on what I write, how I write it, and how often. I will be revamping the blog so it reaches my satisfaction by the end of this week and I’m sticking to my goals this time.

Like I said, daddy’s back.

See you soon kittens.
…Real soon.

We’re talking soon.

Let me Google that for you! (LMGTFY)

You know the scenario. You’ve been asked the question. You’ve said numerous curse words in your head one after another. You’ve sat there and wondered. You’ve gone insane. You’ve acquired stigmata and a rare brain disease from the amazement and astonishment.

You got asked a STUPID question.

This is somewhat of a solution to that exact problem. Next time someone asks you how to submit a form in javascript, how to make butter, how many kittens it takes to meow to the moon, what amount of gold equals $100, where the closest gas station is, or any single one question that could easily be googled and an answer found within seconds — just let me google that for you.

LMAO.

Crainbandy’s back up!

If you didn’t notice crainbandy.com was down for a 2 days. This was long and painful. I got it all straightened out with my hosting provider and it’s all good now.

Sorry for the delay. Good stuff on the way!

Halloween

Happy Halloween.
